1. Scope and roles

This policy applies to CurriculaIQ websites, applications, support channels, and related services. When a school uses CurriculaIQ to manage its community, the school determines why and how most school data is used, and CurriculaIQ processes that data on the school's instructions.

For website enquiries, account administration, service improvement, and our own business operations, CurriculaIQ may determine the purposes of processing.

2. Information we handle

The information handled depends on your role, the modules your school uses, and how you interact with CurriculaIQ.

  • Account and identity details such as names, email addresses, roles, and authentication information.
  • School records such as enrolment, attendance, curriculum activity, progress, communication, and support information.
  • Technical information such as device, browser, IP address, logs, and security events.
  • Enquiry, support, feedback, and configuration records needed to operate the service.

3. How information is used

We use information to provide, secure, support, and improve CurriculaIQ; administer accounts; respond to enquiries; maintain service reliability; and meet contractual or legal responsibilities.

School data is not used for unrelated advertising. Where AI-assisted features are enabled, data is handled according to the school's configuration and the applicable service agreement.

4. Sharing and service providers

We may share information with vetted service providers that support hosting, security, communications, analytics, and customer service. These providers are limited to the information needed for their work and are required to protect it.

Information may also be disclosed when required by law, to protect rights or safety, during a corporate transaction, or with the relevant school's or individual's direction.

5. Security and retention

CurriculaIQ uses administrative, technical, and organisational safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorised access, loss, misuse, or alteration.

Information is retained only for as long as needed to provide the service, meet contractual commitments, support legitimate operational needs, resolve disputes, and comply with applicable requirements.

6. Choices and rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or receive certain personal information, or object to particular uses. School community members should usually begin with their school because the school controls most educational records.

7. Student and child information

CurriculaIQ is designed for school-authorised use. Schools are responsible for providing appropriate notices, permissions, and instructions for student information. We do not knowingly collect child information through the public website without appropriate school or guardian involvement.

8. Contact and updates

Questions about this policy or CurriculaIQ privacy practices can be sent to privacy@curriculaiq.com. We may update this policy as our services or legal obligations change and will publish the revised date on this page.
